Gayle Vance

Co-owner Gayle Vance's 25 years of accounting experience have come in handy as she worked hand-in-hand with her husband, Ed, to build Signature Cleaners into the thriving business it is today.

In addition to serving as the company's Treasurer, Gayle manages the general ledger and oversees administrative support functions for the operation. "Handling the money is important," she says, but my most important job is reining in the President," she says with a smile.

Gayle had already built a successful career in accounting before entering the dry cleaning business 19 years ago. She spent eight years as an Account Manager with Endata, where she specialized in small business accounting. She also served HCA as an Account Manager for two years. Gayle received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Sweet Briar College and completed graduate-level courses at Vanderbilt University and the University of Tennessee-Nashville.

When she's not working on the business, Gayle is active in many community and volunteer organizations. She enjoys reading and knitting. Gayle also spends time training and visiting with their therapy dog. Gayle and her husband, Ed, have three adult children and six grandchildren.
